Cathsoc is a welcoming community for Catholics, those returning to the faith, and anyone curious to learn more—bringing people together through prayer, friendship, and growth.
The University of Southampton Catholic Society (Cathsoc) is a vibrant community of students from all backgrounds and nationalities, united by faith, friendship, and curiosity.
Every Sunday at 6:30pm, we gather for Holy Mass in the Faith and Reflection Centre (FRC), followed by a free, home-cooked dinner where everyone can share food and conversation.
On Tuesday evenings at 7pm, we meet in the FRC for a relaxed and friendly social. CathSoc Nights vary from light-hearted workshops to inspiring talks and discussions that help us explore the Catholic faith more deeply.
To top it all off, we offer the chance to join us on trips throughout the year, including our much-loved weekend Spiritual Retreat on the Isle of Wight every November—a joyful and refreshing break from the stresses of university life.
Whether you’re a practicing Catholic, someone returning after time away, or simply curious to learn about our faith, you’ll find a place here for you. Our doors are always open—so come along, say hello, and be part of this inclusive community.
